It's easy to fall into the trap of taking criticism personally. When you put time and effort into your work it can feel hurtful when someone tells you that something about it isn't very good. You shouldn't listen to people who are just criticizing you to be mean, they'll usually be calling your work "stupid", or telling you "it sucks". The people who you want to listen to are the ones who will pick apart your work, and provide actionable feedback on how to improve it.

"Good criticism is something that looks at your work analytically."

Everybody has their own unique experiences. Criticism is merely the other person offering up some of their experience to point you in the right direction.

As always, I would love to hear your thoughts. You can send me an email or get in touch via Twitter. Also, I would greatly appreciate you reviewing the show on iTunes.
